Voter Registration and ‘Getting Out the Vote’

Bringing State and National Candidates to the Feather River
In both Spring and Fall, FRDC was able to attract statewide and national candidates to the Feather River region. Multiple candidates for California Governor and U.S. House of Representatives spoke at club fundraisers, speaking about their policies and answering questions from community members.

Living Our Values & Taking Direct Action Against Bad Policy
Volunteers and members helped feed their neighbors by volunteering at the Yuba Sutter Food Bank. The also coordinated food drives during the longest government shut down in history, which hit many military families, seniors, and others in the region very hard.
The food bank was chosen as the primary focus becuase of the need for food in the local community and this allowed the club to show the values of the Democratic Party in the face of misunderstanding and distrust stoked by harsh rhetoric in recent years.

Protesting Anti-Democratic, Anti-American Policies
Hundreds of members and volunteers took to the steets to draw awareness to the dismantling of Democracy and unequal application of law under the administration.
They helped show silent but equally upset local residents they were not alone and reminded local leaders that there is a huge swath of residents whose views need to be taken into account.
