How We Achieve Our Goals

Committees are the heart of the Feather River Democratic Club (FRDC) as they are where the work of the FRDC is done. Committees are led by a Chairperson/Chair and staffed by members (including officers) and volunteers.

Budget and Finance Committee

Budget and Finance Committee

Creates and executes policies and practices designed to protect and enhance the financial position of the FRDC; prepares the FRDC’s annual operating budget for presentation to the Executive Committee and approval by the full FRDC; and reviews and reports to FRDC officers on committee expenses and revenues on an on-going basis.

Community and Service Committee

Community and Service CommitteeIdentifies individuals and organizations that align with values of the club and coordinates any relevant support by the club.

Endorsements Committee

Endorsements CommitteeWorks with its chartered Democratic central committees to keep apprised of ballot measures and candidates at the local, state, and federal level; and helps create materials for voter guides and other outreach efforts (such as the newsletter, website, social media, live and digital events, etc.) for use by FRDC.

Fundraising Committee 

Fundraising Committee 

Works with its chartered Democratic central committees and creates its  plans then executes live and digital programs directly to raise money to support the activities of FRDC as well as Democratic candidates at the local, state, and national level.

Membership and Volunteers Committee

Membership and Volunteers CommitteeRecruits potential new members and non-member volunteers interested in working on committees; Works with its chartered Democratic central committees and helps create local materials to help potential new members and volunteers understand the FRDC, its committees, the Democratic Party’s platform, and any other necessary topics; maintains  accurate member and volunteer contact lists; and manages elections and removal of members.

Publicity Committee

WPublicity Committeeorks with its chartered Democratic central committees and uses its own social media, email newsletter, the website, and other communication channels and tactics as warranted to support the work of other committees and the FRDC generally; manages FRDC’s branding and messaging, including working with chartered local clubs and other groups to properly execute FRDC branding and messaging.

Voter Registration and Get Out the Vote Committee

Voter Registration and Get Out the Vote Committee

Voter Registration – Works with its chartered Democratic central committees and designs and implements its own programs for FRDC and chartered local clubs   to ensure as many people who are eligible to vote in Sutter and Yuba counties are registered to vote and listed as members of the Democratic Party; and helps create materials for potential voters.

Get out the Vote – Works with its chartered Democratic central committees and plans and executes its own programs that encourage and assist Democratic voter turnout for each election; and helps create materials for Democratic voter turnout prior to each election.

Representatives of the chartering county central democratic committees or other relevant groups as well as potential and current volunteers may attend committee meetings to ensure coordination but cannot participate in any FRDC or committee votes unless they are also members of the FRDC.

FRDC members may also attend committee meetings of the chartering Democratic central committees to ensure better alignment but may not participate in any Democratic central committee votes (unless they are also members of the SCDCC or YCDCC).
